Playing hookie

A rare day for me this summer: a visit to the doctor's office this morning, and rather than going in to work afterwards, I went shopping for a bit, and then came home: I'm sitting with the kids running around me (there are three others over to play at the moment) in a state of parental bliss. Which I just jinxed -- one of them hit another, and there is screaming too....

A completely redirected post in mid-comment....

Yours, misdirected,
N.

Hookie-related chaos notwithstanding, I think it's totally cool that you didn't go back to the office. How empowering.

Quick explanation of the television thing: I am often called on by journalists to provide expert commentary on technology-related topics. Much of my industry research has focused on mobility, so today, Canada's largest business television network, Business News Network (or BNN) called me and asked me to do a live interview on the current state of the cell phone/handheld market.

It's reporting week for all the major companies, so they often call me in to provide some kind of perspective.

They always post links to the actual interviews, so as soon as it's available, I'll post it to my blog. Then you can watch it and have a good laugh about what a goof I am on camera :)
