No balloons yet

Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating: after weeks, months even, it seems, of days which begin and end with blue skies, we are finally facing leaden clouds, and lots of green, yellow and red on the weather map.
Apparently balloonists don't like to fly in thunderstorms. Who'd a thought it?
Anyway, we didn't get to see the balloons yesterday evening or this morning: perhaps tonight? Tomorrow? Monday?

Yours, suspended,
N.

Well hopefully the rain will do your area well and go quickly so you can enjoy some balloons. I'd love to go to a balloon festival sometime. I've been in a balloon, but never seen lots of them and different kinds.

Michele sent me, have a great weekend and stay dry!

Hello, Michele sent me...to say I'm sorry that there are no balloons yet...the closest show to us was in Vermont and we didn't get to see any balloons this year either...

Have a good week-end...

I love balloons too! They have a balloon fiesta every year where I live and it is an incredible sight! In my last house they used to fly by all the time to and I loved to see them. Sometimes they were low enough to wave.

Several years ago, we were invited to go to Albuquerque, NM to see their balloon festival, but we couldn't go. I would love to fly in a hot-air balloon, but mr. kenju is afraid of them. The one time he decided to gift me with a flight for my birthday, he called and made the arrangements, and the following Friday, the balloonist was killed in a balloon crash. He never would agree to do it after that. Michele sent me to say I'm sad that you can't see them!

Hopefully the clouds will part and salvage what is left of the week-end. Good luck!

Hi. Michele sent me from my bookblog tonight, to sympathize with your lack of balloons.

I love hot-air balloons.

Who would have thought you shouldn't fly hot air ballons in a lightning storm?? Darn logical thinking!

I'm sorry you weren't able to go due to weather :( I've never been to a balloon festival, but I'm terrified of heights and you couldn't get me on one to save my life LOL The photo you took earlier of that rainbow balloon was GORGEOUS though!!!

Michele sent me to sympathize tonight

Bristol which is 2 hours away in the South West have a balloon festival every year, with the finale of the balloons being lit up at night. Hundreds of them despite the British weather which look spectaular.

Hope you see them soon!
