I did pretty well!

Not to brag or anything, but I posted a list of the things that I wanted to do at the beach, and without even trying, I think that it pretty much summed up exactly what I ended up doing! I even managed to finish a book (and the rate I've been reading for the past two years, finishing two books in a one month period is a pretty mammoth achievement for me!)

Yours, in retrospect,
N.

I went back to read many of your Beach posts because I haven't been here in a while...It sounds just glorious and so relaxing and sweet....Watching your children play in the sand has to be such a joyous thing to do....That is a darling picture, by the way.....

Thanks for your visit...And I agree that it would be great fun to have someone like Robin Williams....but these Awardd Shows, (except for The Golden Blobes and The Tony's) are ALL so formulaic...The Tony's has the excitement of Broadway and the true spontinaity of wonderful emotional speeches by very articulate people and great Musical Numbers....The Globes...I remember "back in the day" when it was just a local TV Broadcast on one of the smaller stations and was just fabulous because people were much more relaxed and pretty much drunk, too, I'm afraid, but it was really fun....And it has retained some of that spontinaity, though it is not a particularly exciting show....They have just announced a few days ago that Ryan Seacrest is the HOST for The Emmy's.....Zzzzzzzzzz.

Here from Michele's today. I never thought of making a list of things to get done at the beach besides baking and reading -- I applaud you!!

OOLOTH, I have to admit that I don't watch whatever "reality" show Seacrest hosts, so I really have no idea who he is or what he's like!

Sue: it was, I admit, made more in jest than anything: still it pretty much described to a T what we did (with perhaps a couple of activities that didn't make the list ahead of time).

Glad you met your goals, I have a lot of reading to catch up on but never seem to get to it :)

Wendywings: I used to be a voracious reader: several books every week, more some weeks; since the sprogs came along, I'm lucky if I read several books a year now!

If you got to do most of the things on your list, I'd say you had a successful vacation! Hope the rest of your summer is equally as fabulous. Michele sent me today. (What a gal!) Have a great weekend!

Aaah, every time I read about someone's day at the beach I get so envious, since we don't have a lot of ocean access here in Oklahoma. :)
Sounds like you had a fabulous time!

I think it's ok to count those books you read to the sprogs! I used to read a lot of those, too. It did take a while to get back to reading adult-level books.

I haven't read all of your beach posts, but I scrolled back and skimmed a bit. I love the beach! It sounds like a wonderful vacation.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - I added you to my list of blogs I like - because I do - like your blog! If I put you on my list, I'll be sure to come back.
