A new toy

I'm taking a trip in a week or two, driving, and the city I'm visiting is rather convoluted.  So I've bought a toy: a portable GPS for the trip.  It's due to arrive tomorrow, and I'm rather looking forward to playing with it.

One thing LOML and I used to do before the children came on the scene was to drive randomly around the area, exploring.  I enjoy doing this, but only when I have a map, and know that if necessary I can find my way out of being lost.  This will open that possibility back up for us!

Yours, in high anticipation,
N.

I hope you get much enjoyment from your new GPS.

Although I didn't really want a new phone, I was told I had to when getting a new contract...so I got one with a new GPS. Unfortunately, I have yet to connect to the necessary satellites!! (Hope you have better luck with your GPS).

It has been fun -- we drove to the lake with it, and other than the fact that it didn't know where the state park was (which I need to report) once I put in the street address of the campground it got us right to the place.

My phone is rather old --- one of these days I'm going to choose to replace it, because the battery now dies too quickly. I've had this one for 5 years now, I think!
