So apparently Mukasey, nominee for head of the Justice Department, Attorney General of This Great Land (TM), has said that "torture is unconstitutional". I say "apparently", since the quote that I actually heard this morning was
If water-boarding is torture, torture is unconstitutional.
Unfortunately, he was unwilling to specify that water-boarding actually
is torture, and so we know nothing of the conclusion that he reaches.

In your previous post you noted the difference between our elections and the British version. While I recognize that we need to hear from the candidates on the issues, I think our election process has become a bit of a cirus. The real issues are not the focus most of the time. More attention is given to Rudy's phone going off on camera than on health care. Michele sent me.
