We had a conference today, a couple of hours from here, for several programs teaching undergraduates to do research in mathematics. A lovely occasion, a reason for groups to get together, to contrast and compare who we run our programs, and for each of us to come away thinking that we, and the others, are doing a pretty darn good job.
It was so nice, that we are seriously thinking about repeating it next year, and making it an annual event.
